Talk with and learn from experienced, successful filmmakers and actors from all over the South and points beyond covering all aspects of acting and filmmaking for half the price you’d pay to take a one day class with one national touring actor or producer. This convention offers 7 one hour panel discussions, 7 one hour classes, ten minute pitches to ShadowDog Productions, Star Painter Productions, and other production companies on your ability as an actor or breaking into behind the scenes filmmaking jobs for absolutely no extra charge (all you have to do is sign up when you arrive at the convention), and a networking room with free refreshments for the low price of $75 if ordered online or $85 at the door.
 
Special Student Offer! The first 30 acting or film students with a valid student ID only have to pay $25 online or $30 at the door.
Order now because there will only be 100 regular tickets and 30 student tickets sold to ensure no overcrowding. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Note: No refunds once tickets have been ordered. However, anyone bearing the payment receipt on the day will be given a pass and allowed in so you can sell or give your ticket to someone else.

4:00-6:30 Special Double Class Deep Improv All genuine artists are intimately aware of what has meaning for them, and their success depends on putting that meaning into their art. Building on sound improvisational skills, this workshop focuses on putting personal truth into your performances.

7pm-8pm Class: Getting Control Of Your Career (Have you allowed your life to get out of control? Have you found yourself just going through the motions? Do you feel like you are in a boat without any oars or the passenger on someone else's journey and you have no say in where you are heading?
It doesn't have to be that way. You can and should take control of your life. As long as you are still breathing and I am assuming you are, it is not too late. All you have to do is admit to yourself that you, yes you are the one responsible for your life. Then you have to find the tools you need to help turn that ship around. That is where we come in. We will supply you with the resources and ideas you need to bring the joy back into your life, the passion back into your relationships and the feeling of accomplishment and value into your career. We will help you: Take back your life!)

These classes are a little extra because the teacher to student ratio is much smaller so you will have a better chance of getting your individual questions answered.

John Foutz: Be The Character
Why do you want to act? Preparing for the audition. What is expected of you throughout each phase of production? Focus on Acting. Truly being the charcacter (on camera). Making your mark (on camera). Dealing with awkward set-ups (on camera). Acting for commercials (on camera). Looking after the product (YOU!).
Tickets: $85, which includes on catered meal. Important! Your ticket for this class also gets you into any other convention events except for other Special Classes. So there is no need to purchase a general convention ticket.
