Jennifer Russoli

Jennifer was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. From a very young age, she had an incredible passion for singing and acting. However, with 3 older sisters, her father’s blue-collar income, swing-shift work schedule and her parents’ divorce, monetary support was limited, and formal training in piano and voice came at a late age. She did, however, teach herself how to play guitar in order to accompany her singing and became well-known in her local community and school for her performances.

Rather than pursue a degree in the performing arts, Jennifer graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Management. The years following, included work within Corporate America, marriage, and raising one daughter and one son.

In the spring of 2009, her husband’s job relocated them from Pennsylvania to North Carolina. Preferring not to return to the corporate world, Jennifer began modeling just prior to being advised of their relocation and, once her children were settled, she began to pursue modeling once again in North Carolina. Through modeling, she discovered that NC was filled with a wealth of filmmaking opportunities as well as conveniently located near major film hubs in Wilmington, NC and Atlanta, GA. She began formal training in acting in the winter of 2010 and landed a principal role in a student film in the spring of the same year, thus reigniting her passion for the performing arts and her subsequent pursuit of acting as a formal career.

Since 2010, Jennifer’s aggressive pursuit of her passion for film and natural acting ability has since garnered her many principal and supporting roles in local indie films as well as the co-starring role of “Detective Rebecca Mahoney” in the Greensboro-based T.V. series, “The P.O.”, currently in production, as well as the lead role in a feature film entitled, “Ask for Angela”, due to be released in the Fall of 2011.

Jennifer’s modeling credits include Wrangler Lee Rider Jeans, QVC International, BB&T, Biltmore Inn, and Fox News Charlotte’s “Wardrobe Wednesday”. She is represented by Carolina Talent.

When asked, in regard to her quick accumulation of film credits and minimal formal training if she has any regrets with regard to not pursuing film earlier, she will definitively tell you in her straightforward manner, “No! In fact, if I had pursued the arts in college, I would never have had the opportunity for the life experiences that I now draw upon for developing the characters of which I am cast. Everything is happening just as it should and I have never been happier!”

Dave Tunik

Celebrating his 37th year in the Entertainment Industry, Dave Tunik started acting at the age of four, worked all the way through his teen years on local stage and film productions, dedicated several years to performing stand-up comedy in various clubs around San Francisco and Los Angeles, and even showed up in print modeling assignments for clients such as Pepsi and Apple Computers.
When it was time for college, Dave auditioned and got accepted into the prestigious Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting Conservatory at the University of Southern California, which allowed him to take his education to a whole new level. The director of the USC Drama department took a liking to Dave and got him an internship working in casting at MGM / UA Television.

After the close of business on that first day, the Vice President of Casting immediately hired Dave and made him a permanent part of the MGM family. That was the catalyst for Dave to temporarily put his acting aspirations aside and spend the following several years working hard to build a successful career as a casting director.
Over the years, Dave has also worked as a screenwriter, Equity-waiver theatre producer, owner of his own script coverage business, and even a lighting designer for one of the top clubs in Hollywood, before deciding to move back to Northern California in 1994 and try his hand at radio. After graduating from the Columbia School of Broadcasting, Dave wrote copy for an all-news radio station, produced a radio call-in talk show, and even hosted his own Blues radio program.
The inspiration to teach came from Dave's high school drama teacher back in 1987, when he asked Dave to come back and conduct seminars for the students about what was really in store for them in Hollywood. That initial experience at his alma mater got Dave's juices flowing to teach on a regular basis, and, while still pursuing acting and casting, he simultaneously began a lucrative side-business in Hollywood teaching workshop intensives on the business and art of acting. Twenty-three years later, Dave is more passionate than ever about offering students a quality education, and is thrilled to be able to bring over three-and-a-half decades of wide-ranging, real world industry experience to the creation of the DST Talent Academy (http://dsttalentacademy.wordpress.com), where he and the phenomenal staff of instructors he's assembled offer challenging course materials designed to enlighten, educate, and inspire students of all ages to excel both in the acting profession, and in life.
